PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance device for use in a three-dimensional object printing system.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional printing system includes a platform 202 configured to move along a first track 204. An ejector head 206 is positioned opposite a first portion 218 of the first track. A second track 208 is coupled to the first track at a first position 228 prior to the ejector head, and is selectively coupled to the first track after the ejector head at a second position 230. A controller 214 comprises a control device configured to operate the platform to move along the second track to the first position and along the first track past the ejector head, operate the platform to perform an operation on the ejector head, and operate the platform to move along the first track to the second position to enable the platform to return to the second track.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
