PURPOSE:To enable to detect the change of the EGR (exhaust-gas recirculation) and the charging efficiency easily and correctly, by subtracting the value of detected pressure of air in an intake passage just on the downstream side of a throttle valve from the value of detected pressure of air on the internal wall surface of a surge tank. CONSTITUTION:An apparatus of this invention comprises a pressure sensor 11 which detects the pressure (static pressure) P1 of air in a surge tank 4 disposed in an intake passage 13 on the donwstream side of a throttle valve 3 and a pressure sensor 12 which detects the pressure P2 of air in the intake passage 13 just on the downstream side of the throttle valve 3. Here, the pressure P2 detected by the pressure sensor 12 is the difference between the negative pressure of intake air and the static pressure near the open end of a detecting pipe 20. The flow pressure PD is detected by applying the outputs of the above two pressure sensors 11, 12 to a control circuit 9 and subtracting the pressure P2 from the pressure P1. Further, the base flow pressure B is detected by searching a two-dimensional map for the base flow pressure on the basis of the engine speed N and the pressure P1, and the fuel supply rate is corrected on the basis of the above data, PD, B. |
