PURPOSE:To obtain a water caterpillar ship in which the engine force can be developed efficiently by installing a caterpillar having oars on the right and left sides and allowing the oars under the ship to stroke water. CONSTITUTION:A reduction gear 5 and a differential gear 6 are connected to an engine 2, and the output shaft 7 of the differential gear 6 is connected to the wheels of a caterpillar to transmit the force and the revolution of the engine to the caterpillar 3. The direction of a ship is changed by differentiating each revolution speed of the right and left caterpillars. In other words, a cylinder 10 is moved by a handle 12 and a power steering 11 by a hydraulic mechanism, and said cylinder 10 is connected to a brake shoe 9. Said brake shoe 9 reduces the revolution speed of the output shaft 7, i.e., the revolution speed of the caterpillar 3 in the relation with a drum 8 installed onto the output shaft 7 of the differential gear 6. Therefore, the ship can develop the engine force more efficiently than the conventional screw ship, and the speed of the ship can be increased further.
