PURPOSE:To provide a horizontal culture tank capable of keeping the aseptic state easily, by passing a driving shaft furnished with a driving magnet through the hollow part at the center of the culture tank, and placing a driven member furnished with a stirring blade and driven by the rotation of the driving magnet in the separation side wall forming the above hollow part. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical hollow part 2 is placed at the center of a culture tank 1, and a driving shaft 3 having a driving magnet 5 is passed rotatably through the hollow part 2. A cylindrical driven member 7 driven by the rotation of the driving magnet 5 is placed in the separation side wall forming the hollow part 2 in the culture tank 1, and a stirring blade 9 is attached to the driven member 7. A culture apparatus suitable as a horizontal culture tank capable of keeping the aseptic state easily, can be realized by this arrangement.
