PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of sudden excessive speed-up and vibration by providing in a start controller a valve closing signal computer for generating the valve closing signal in starting a turbine until the turbine reaches a predetermined operative condition. CONSTITUTION:In a start controller for a turbine, a speed requiring signal computer 15 consisting of a lower value preferential circuit receives signals of a lamp signal computer 114 and a flow computer 17, while receiving simultaneously the signal of a valve closing signal computer 24. To said computer 24 are added the actual speed signal f of a rotational frequency computer 21 and the lamp signal b of a lamp signal computer 14. When the start signal a is supplied, the valve closing signal i is generated. When the actual speed signal f exceeds the lamp signal b, the output of the valve closing signal i is stopped. Thus, since, immediately after the start of the turbine, a spill valve is controlled in the closing direction, the rotational frequency can be controlled in a short time after the start to prevent the occurrence of sudden excessive speed-up. |
