PURPOSE:To permit the correct transmission of power, allowing the error in installation of a reversing apparatus, and obtain a small-sized and lightweight apparatus, by transferring a movable gear engaged with an input gear and an output gear which are installed onto a swingable plate. CONSTITUTION:When a paper-sheet reversing apparatus 1 is mounted onto a printer 300, the output of the motor of a paper discharge driving system is transmitted to an input gear 70 through a movable gear 71 from an output gear 355, and then transmitted to a driving roller gear 72 and a paper discharge roller gear 73 through idle gears 74-77, and the normal or the reversal transportation of paper sheet is permitted. Further, since the power transmission from the printer 300 is carried-out through the movable gear 71, the minute dimension precision is not necessary for the installation of the paper-sheet reversing apparatus onto the printer 300, and the certain power transmission is permitted. In other words, since the movable gear 71 can transfer within the swingable range of a swingable plate 78, maintaining the engagement with the input gear 70, the correct engagement with the gear 355 is permitted even if a divergence exists between the output gear 355, and a small-sized and lightweight apparatus can be obtained, since a driving source is not equipped with.
