PURPOSE:To provide the titled glass suitable for the measurement of radiation of the order of 10mR, and having improved accuracy of measurement, by adding a specific fluorescent agent to a base glass containing SiO2, B2O3, Al2O3, an alkali metal oxide and a bivalent metal oxide. CONSTITUTION:The objective standard fluorescent glass for fluorescent glass dosimeter, wherein the intensity of the fluorescent light emitted by the excitation with ultraviolet radiation of 300-400nm wavelength decays to 1/e of its peak within 1.5-6mu sec, can be produced by mixing 50-80wt% SiO2, 0-25wt% B2O3, 0-10wt% Al2O3, 5-25wt% alkali metal oxide (e.g. Na2O), 5-25wt% bivalent metal oxide (e.g. MgO), and 0.002-0.05wt% E2O3 as a fluorescent agent, and heating, melting and vitrifying the mixture at 1,300-1,400 deg.C.
