PURPOSE:To allow the adjustment of cold or hot air blowing direction to any desired direction from a position away from the unit by providing actuators that actuate air guide plates in the air outlet of an air conditioner, and operating the actuators by remote control. CONSTITUTION:When the air direction key of a transmitter 5 is pressed, a sensor 4 detects infrared rays to output signals, which are detected and decoded by a decoder 7, to an actuator circuit 8. The actuator circuit 8 consists of a vertical actuator circuit 13 and a lateral actuator circuit 14, and the circuits 13, 14 respectively operate a vertical motion motor 15 and a lateral motion motor 16 to control vertically-moved louvers 17 and laterally-moved louvers 18. The remote control can be done either by the wireless control or by the cable control.
