PURPOSE:To contrive improvement of the operating ratio of a stud welding machine, by setting one of plural stud guns to a weldable condition and, at the same time, the other stud guns to an unweldable condition and, after completion of welding and a prescribed time gas passed, restoring all the stud guns. CONSTITUTION:Plural stud guns 2a, 2b, and 2c and thyristors 12a, 12b, and 12c are provided to a welding machine 1. When a welding starting command is outputted from one 2a of the stud guns, welding disable commands are outputted to the other stud guns 2b and 2c. Simultaneously, a welding voltage is supplied to the stud gun 2a by controlling the thyristors 12a-12c. At the moment when the welding is completed, all the stud guns are set to an unweldable state by the set time of a change-over switch 13 and, after the set time has passed, they are set to a weldable state. Since plural stud guns are operated by the welding machine 1, the operating ratio and working efficiency of the welding machine 1 are improved.
