PURPOSE:To enable to hold a sheet between the nails surely without elevating precision of equipping the nails by forming one of a pair of nails with elastic material, and by making the tips of the nails the teeth of a comb-like condition. CONSTITUTION:Manuscript 1 is sent to the position of timing rollers 4a, 4b by paper feed rollers 3a, 3b and stops once. When the holding part of manuscript composed of nails 5, 6 comes up rotating on the fixed position, the manuscript 1 standing by is fed again faster than rolling of the drum to be pushed in between nail 5 and guide 24. Next, the inverted cam 16b slips off from cam 12b, and the nail 6 pushed the tip of manuscript 1 to the nail 5 to hold it between them. At this time, since the nil 6 has an elasticity and the tips of the nails are formed like the teeth of a comb, the manuscript 1 is absorbed by the part of the teeth of a comb of the nail 6 and held surely between the nails 5, 6, even if each opposite surface of the nails 5, 6 is inclined more or less. Thus, the manuscript can be held correctly by the balanced force and be wound over drum 2 without improving precision of equipping by the nails 5, 6 so much.
