PURPOSE:To set detection voltage with good accuracy by a method wherein the detection circuit of a voltage detection circuit built in an IC is set up with nonvolatile memories. CONSTITUTION:An EPROM1 is a 3-bit erasable and writable nonvolatile memory built in the IC, and a terminal pad 2 is to write in the EPROM. Terminals 3, 4, and 5 are the output terminals of the EPROM which are set at high or low level according to written data contents. here, with the terminals 3-5 set under a certain condition, the position of a kind of tap is selected, and the detection voltage in that situation is measured. On judgement from that data, the right position of the tap is determined, and this data is inputted through the terminal pad 2 and selected.
