PURPOSE:To measure a position easily and efficiently with high precision by providing a depression start signal generating circuit composed of a mechanism for pressing a push-button switch, etc., an operation signal generating circuit, and arithmetic display circuit, etc. CONSTITUTION:An operation position measuring instrument consists of the push-button switch pressing mechanism, a distance signal generating mechanism, the depression start signal generating circuit, the operation signal generating circuit, and the arithmetic display circuit. Then, the push-button switch is pressed by using a DC electric motor 21 which causes less oscillation, the operation position of a switch to be measured is calculated automatically on the basis of a depression start signal generated by comparing a preset reference voltage with the output voltage of a pressure sensor 15, an operation signal generated through the operation of the switching to be measured, and the distance signal of an encoder 22 generated between them, and the result is displayed and the switch is returned to its initial position. Therefore, figures for individual switches need not be drawn and an error when the operation point is read and individual differences in skillfulness are eliminated, so that anybody can measure the operation position easily and efficiently with high precision.
