PURPOSE:To obtain a flat type wire having a conductive surface provided to the corner part thereof, in the preparation of the flat type wire in the slide transformer for medical machinery, by applying a synthetic resin powder to a flat type conductor over the entire peripheral surface thereof and, thereafter, pressing a powder removing plate to remove the powder at a predetermined part before heating. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin powder is applied to the outer periphery of the flat type conductor 6 supplied from a conductor supply bobbin 11 in a powder coating part 12 and, subsequently, the synthetic resin powder on the surface, where the conductor should be exposed, is removed in a powder removing part 13 and the treated conductor is heated in a heating oven 14 to fuse the synthetic resin powder applied to the straight angle conductor 6 under heating. The powder removing part 13 is formed of a plurality of powder removing plates 16-19, 16'-19' and the spaces between adjacent powder removing plates 16 and 17, 18 and 19, 16' and 17', 18' and 19' are connected to the suction ports of a dust collector to discharge the removed synthetic resin powder 8'.
