PURPOSE:To enable uniform painting without generating the warpage deformation even in a thick metal strip plate, by specifying a plurality of roll diameter arrangements in a painting line. CONSTITUTION:In a continuour painting line, primer coating, baking, finishing painting and baking are continuously applied to a metal strip plate 1. Two bridle rolls 2, 3, a lift roll 4 and front and back surface painting rolls 5, 6 are provided to the painting process of this line. Herein, in order to prevent the generation of warpage deformation in the strip plate at the time of painting and after painting, the radii of the first bridle roll 2, the second bridle roll 3 and the lift roll 4 are respectively set to R1, R2, R3 and the substantial bending radius of the strip plate at the lift roll is set to R4 and a smaller value of R2 and R4 is set to Rz, the roll diameter satisfying formula I is taken as an essential condition.
