PURPOSE:To provide a remedy for renal diseases containing 24,25- dihydroxycholecalciferol as an active component. CONSTITUTION:A remedy for renal diseases can be prepared by using a 24,25- dihydroxycholecalciferol (e.g. 24R,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol, etc.) as an active component. It is administered orally, parenterally or through rectum, preferably by oral administration. It can be used in the form of tablet, powder, granule, suppository, alcoholic solution, oil solution, aqueous dispersion, etc. Dose: 0.1-100,000mug, preferably 0.5-10,000mug daily. The agent is effective to uremia, various renal insufficiency nephritis, etc.
