PURPOSE:To stabilize the feeding action of papers by lessening loads to be encountered in the paper feeding action of a platen by providing a roller to be freely turned with a pick-up roller only when contacting with the pick-up roller. CONSTITUTION:When a pick-up roller 13 is turned to the direction of arrow E, the uppermost paper of piled printing papers 61 in contact with the roller 13 is sent out to the position of a platen 51 by i-s friction force. The paper is then reached the position of the first pressure roller 54 in a sliding manner on guide plates 33 and 56 and detected by a detector,and a printer is turned inversely to the turning direction of the platen by the command of a controller. An epicyclic gear 12 is separated from the papers 61 and turned by itself. The tip of the paper sent out by the pick-up roller 13 is held between the platen 51 and the roller 54. The feeding operation of papers by the platen 51 can thus be stably performed. |
