PURPOSE:To suppress vertical node vibration of a hull effectively by protruding hydrofoils having adjustability for the angle of incidence at both sides of the ship in its bow part, and by making foil angle adjustment control with a signal given by a vertical node vibration sensor for the hull. CONSTITUTION:Hydrofoils 10a, 10b with adjustability of the angle of incidence are installed in such a way as protruding at both side of a ship in its bow part. A vibro-sensor 25 to sense vertical node vibration of the hull is installed, and upon receiving a signal therefrom an angle-of-incidence controller 24 actuates a servo valve 22 as an actuator for adjustment of the angle of incidence so as to adjust the oil amount to an oil pressure cylinder 15, and now the drive shaft 11 for the hydrofoils is revolved. The buoyancy of the hydrofoils 10a, 10b with their angle of incidence adjusted will generate vibration with opposite phase to possible hull vibration, which can effectively set off the vertical node vibrations of the hull to be caused by external forces of waves etc.
