PURPOSE:To make it possible to positively cool lubrication oil flowing through a cylinder block with the use of cooling water in a water jacket, by forming an oil passage adjacent to the water jacket. CONSTITUTION:When an engine E is driven, pressurized lubrication oil from an oil pump flows through a second passage 152 into an oil filter 19 where the oil is filtered, and then flows into a third passage 153 where the oil is vertically branched in a first oil passage 151 to be distributed into a lubrication oil system formed in a cylinder head H and an oil passage 17 in a bearing cap 8 in order to be fed into several sections in an engine E to be lubricated. Lubrication oil flowing through this lubrication oil passage is effectively cooled by cooling water flowing in a water jacket 12 since the most part or a part of the oil passage 15 is adjacent to the water jacket 12.
