PURPOSE:To make it unnecessary to set preliminarily a frame, in which graphic forms should be described, on a document by describing data of graphic forms as prescribed parameters and storing positions and sizes of graphic forms as a graphic file. CONSTITUTION:The graphic file is stored na graphic memory 7. Graphic data in this graphic file are described as parameters set in accordance with classifications of graphic forms, line classifications of graphic forms, hatching, and positions and sizes of graphic forms, and positions and sizes of graphic forms are stored in relation to character arrangement of the document. When display or printing of graphic forms is designated in case of display or printing of the document, graphic forms are generated in accordance with graphic data in a drawing file and are displayed or printed on a display device 3 or a printer 4.
