PURPOSE:To strengthen the fixation of inner tubes and at the same time to lessen luminous flux loss and besides to facilitate sealing stems and an envelope by sealing a fluorescent lamp as a whole with glass frit. CONSTITUTION:The depressed portions 11 of a ceramic or metallic stem plate 10 for positioning a light-emissive envelope 21 are coated with glass frit paste 12. On the central paste 12 is placed a common negative electrode stem 13 with an exhaust tube 14 and every positive electrode stem 16 is placed at equal distance apart from the stem 13. And inner tubes 18R, 18G, 18B, whose inner faces are coated respectively with different color phosphers 20R, 20G, 20B, are arranged by the same number as that of the stems 16, each inner tube 18R, 18G, 18B having an opening portion 19 formed. Furthermore, the light transparent envelope 21 is mounted on the stem plate 10, every component being covered with said envelope 21, and every paste 12 is burned as a whole to be cured. After the curing, air in the space surrounded by the envelope 21 and stem plate 10 is exhausted through the exhaust tube 14 and a glass for discharge is sealed in. Thus, the fixation of the inner tubes 18R, 18G, 18B can be strengthened and luminous flux loss can be decreased. |
