PURPOSE:To obtain a highly water permeable anisotropic hollow yarn membrane suitable for an external pressure system, by performing sheath-core type spinning by using air as a core material to form a polysulfone hollow yarn membrane having a triple structure wherein an inner surface comprises a microporous layer, an intermediate layer is a sponge like or digital porous layer and an outer surface comprises a dense layer. CONSTITUTION:A spinning raw solution prepared by dissolving polyether sulfone in a solvent is extruded into a coagulation bath from the outer tube of a spin ning die while air being a core material is extruded into a said bath from the inner tube of said die and the extrudate is coagulated and washed with water. By this method, a hollow yarn membrane having a triple structure, wherein fine pores having a size capable of being observed microcropically are provided to an inner surface and a membrane interior comprises a sponge like or ditigal porous structure and an outer surface comprises a dense layer (skin layer) having fine pores with a pore size of about 100Angstrom less, is obtained.
