PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thin image display apparatus having a display part capable of high-luminance and high-contrast display without having display defects caused by deformation of the display part.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing an image display apparatus, which includes an image display part 2 and a light transmissive protective part 3 arranged on the image display part 2 via a cured resin layer 5, includes: a step of filling a space between the image display part 2 and the protective part 3 without any clearance with resin composition containing a photoinitiator to be cured by light in an ultraviolet region and a visible light region; and a step of forming the cured resin layer 5 between the protective part 3 and the image display part 2 by emitting ultraviolet light. The cured resin layer 5 (a) has a curing rate of 90% or more, (b) suppresses influence of internal stress that is accumulated when resin composition is cured, and (c) has a transmittance of 90% or more in a visible light region when the thickness thereof is 100 μm.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
