PURPOSE:To improve abrasion resistance and durability by installing the surface treated part of a cylinder liner into band shape in an arbitrary zone of the position of a piston when the piston is at the top dead point in the upper part in the axial direction, thus improving the fitting performance. CONSTITUTION:A band-shaped surface treated part 6 is installed onto the inner surface of a cylinder liner 5. Said surface treated part 6 is installed at the zone of the position of a piston 2 at the top dead point in the upper part in the axial direction of the cylinder liner 5. The shape of the surface treated part 6 is continuous in the circumferential direction, and the pitch in the axial direction of the cylinder liner 5 is made arbitrary. Since the surface treated part 6 and the non-treated part are installed alternately onto the inner surface of the cylinder liner 5, the nontreated surface part is worn-out when a piston ring 3 is slided, and the section is formed into wave form. Therefore, the fitting performance of the cylinder liner 5 is improved, and the oil holding function is naturally provided together with the progress of the fitting, and therefore, abrasion resistance and durability can be improved. |
