PURPOSE:To enable the roll forging of a blank in the width direction by making a metal die movable back and forth in the width direction of the blank and rockable and turnable on within the plane face including the axial direction section of the blank by connecting the metal die of the roll forging device to three pieces of cranks. CONSTITUTION:Cranks 12, 13 are provided in the width direction of slab 10, two parts of metal die 11 are connected via crank arms 12a, 13a thereto and further the side part of the metal die 11 is connected via crank arm 14a to the crank 14 at the side part. The metal die 11 is turned (B) with rocking inside the plane face including the width direction section of the slab 10 with moving (C) back and forth in the width direction of the slab 10 by the crank 14 when the cranks 12, 13 are driven with rotation.
