PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of the whole oscillator and to facilitate the workability and maintenance by eliminating a trouble due to an operating error by providing a sensor for detecting the gas pressure in a discharge tube and arranging a safety mechanism enabling the application of a voltage only when the gas pressure in a discharge tube is within a range of a preset voltage. CONSTITUTION: The pressure in a discharge tube 2 is measured by a pressure sensor 1 and the electric signal according to the gas pressure is sent to a control circuit 3 where that is compared with a gas pressure preset signal and the decision whether it is optimum value or not is made. A contact 4 of a voltage apply switch control circuit is made ON or OFF. When it is OFF-state, a voltage is not applied even if a voltage apply switch is closed. When a liquid pressure gage 6 is used as a sensor, sensors 5 are arranged on a boundary of the range of then optimum value of an indicated point of the liquid pressure gage 6 to send the signal from the sensors 5 to the control circuit 3 where the decision is made to turn the contact 4 ON or OFF thereby determining whether a voltage is applied. |
