PURPOSE:The title foam low in warpage, excellent in heat resistance, etc., and suitable for, e.g., cylinder head covers for internal combustion engines, obtained by adding glass fiber having a fiber length/fiber diameter ratio in a specified range to a polyamide resin and expansion-injection-molding the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A polyamide resin is filled with 13-50wt% glass fiber having a fiber length/fiber diameter ratio of 4-15. This mixture is expansion-injection- molded into the title polyamide resin foam. By using nylon 46 or nylon 66 as the polyamide resin, it is possible to obtain a molding which is excellent in heat resistance, etc., and can be used in a place in contact with a high- temperature part, such as an automobile engine room. It is also possible to add an antioxidant, dye, pigment, weathering agent, lubricant, plasticizer, etc., to the polyamide resin. |
