PURPOSE:To obtain a BGM sound field with reduced modulation by putting an automatic input controller between an input selector and a sound quality controller and therefore equalizing the level of the output signal. CONSTITUTION:An automatic input level controller 9 which suppresses the modulation of the input signal is set between an input selector 5 and a sound quality controller 6. When a BGM switch 10 is set at (a), for example, the controller 9 is bypassed and has the characteristics (a). While the controller 9 has the characteristics (b) that shows the +6dB gain characteristics to the characteristics (a) with the input level set less than the reference input -6dB when the switch 10 is set at (b). When the input level is higher than -6dB, the maximum input level is equal to the output reference level 0dB. In other words, the input reference level +6dB is supplied and therefore the instantaneous gain characteristics is equal to characteristics (c). Then the input/output characteristics is returned to the characteristics (b) from the (c) via the characteristics (c') when the input level is less than -6dB.
