PURPOSE:To assure corrosion resistance and magnetic permeability and to improve magnetic flux density by using an amorphous magnetic alloy contg. a prescribed ratio each of Cr, B and Si as an amorphous magnetic alloy to constitute a magnetic gap of a composite magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The amorphous magnetic alloy is expressed by the compsn. formula: Ma Sib Bc Crd (where M denotes 1 or >=2 kinds among Co, Ni and Fe) and the compsn. range thereof is maintained, by atom%, within the relations: 19<=b+c+d<=26, 4<=c<=9.5, 1.5<=d<=66, a+b+c+d=100. The corrosion resistance is improved by adding a proper ratio of chromium Cr thereto and suppressing the addition of boron B in the above-mentioned manner. The magnetic permeability mu is assured by adding silicon Si and chromium Cr at the ratio exceeding a certain value and the magnetic flux density is improved by adding the metallic elements at the highest possible ratio.
