PURPOSE:To attain accurate reading and writing by generating and storing an eccentricity correcting data to let the head trail on the eccentricity-correcting track and thereby controlling the head to trail on the target track in accordance with the positional information of the target track. CONSTITUTION:When a read/write signal that specifies an optical track is inputted to an eccentricity-controlling circuit 3 from a magnetic disc control circuit 7, the circuit 3 obtains from a seek circuit 8 and the control circuit 7 an information of the target track, and corrects the eccentricity-correcting data in accordance with the obtained information, and further generates an adoption data to let a head 50 trail on the track and supplies it to an eccentricity-correction-value generating circuit 5. The adoption data can be generated, for instance, by multiplying the eccentricity correction data by a coefficient produced in accordance with the data track positional information. Because the seek circuit 8 lets the head 50 transfer in accordance with the adoption data, the head 50 at all time is positioned on the targeted track. As a result, the reliability of the read/write data does not lower even after eccentricity occurred.
