PRODUCTION OF REINFORCING BAR AND ITS DEVICE

PURPOSE:To stabilize the formation of a dowel by arranging with slipping off in the thickness direction the upper and lower cutting edges and by pressing the both sides of the forming part of a steel bar during its upper and lower motions. CONSTITUTION:The lower side cutting edge 3 is stood at the center of a base plate and the supporting base 4 of steel bar R is arranged at the both sides thereof. Upper cutting edge 13 is provided in opposition to the lower side cutting edge 3 and the cutting edges 3, 13 are arranged by slipping off each other in the thickness direction. A pressing stand 15 is further provided via a compression spring 16 on a pressure stand 14. When the pressure stand 14 is pushed down the cutting edge 13 is descended at the tip end parts 13b, 3b of the upper and lower edges bite into the steel bar R. When the cutting edge 13 is descended in succession the bar stock R is divided to form a dowel. In this case the dividing motion is performed with pressing the bar R via the supporting base 4 by the pressing stand 15. The dowel formation can therefore be stably performed.
