PURPOSE:To handle data of various formats in common with each other without changing the primary part of a gate circuit, by using a data distributing circuit to secure matching between the number of data lines continuous to the gate circuit and the input data format. CONSTITUTION:A data processing circuit contains a gate circuit like a memory cell 1 which processes the input data in response to address inputs A0-A10 and a distributing circuit 10 which transmits the input data to the gate circuit. The circuit 10 includes input data lines 8a and 8b, output data liens 9a and 9b, an address line and a mode selection line 11. The corresponding relation between lines 8a/8b and lines 9a/9b is changed to 2:1 or 1:2 from 2:2 by the mode signal applied to a mode selection line 11.
