PURPOSE:To improve the safety of a suspension device with a chassis height adjusting function such as a hydraulic suspension device by stopping the operation of a pressure fluid generation means, a supply valve, and an exhaust valve when the defective operation of the pressure fluid supply valve and the exhaust valve to a chassis height adjusting body is detected. CONSTITUTION:The output signals of a chassis height sensor 14 and a pressure switch 8 are input to a controller 20 and the controller 20 controls an oil supply valve 9a, an exhaust valve 9b, and a motor 2 through the fault decision processing. If chassis height does not fall even after the opening of this exhaust valve 9b is indicated through this fault decision processing and the time exceeding a preset time elapses, a motor 2 is stopped assuming that the oil supply valve 9a or the exhaust valve 9b is abnormal. In addition, a preset alarm 21 is given determining that the oil supply valve 9a is faulty if the chassis height is decreased after a preset time elapses and also determining that the exhaust valve 9b is faulty unless it is decreased. As a result of this structure, a fault can promptly and accurately be recognized and the safety of a suspension device can be improved. |
