PURPOSE:To prevent useless power consumption by controlling a current flowing to an inverter in response to an oscillation stop control signal so as to control the propriety of oscillation. CONSTITUTION:When the level of the oscillation stop signal OP is '1', a prescribed bias voltage is outputted from a bias circuit 31 and the oscillated output of an oscillation circuit 32 is extracted via a NAND circuit 33. When the level of the signal OP is '0', a potential VDD is outputted from the circuit 31, and an output representing the operation stop of a common-source inverter in the circuit 32 goes to a high impedance state and no oscillation output is produced. Thus, no power consumption is caused in the circuits 31, 32. Then useless power consumption is prevented.
