PURPOSE:To prevent the interruption of a facsimile transmission control procedure occurred by an echo and to enable the continued communication by neglecting the coincidence of a transmission signal and a reception signal and continuing a communication operation. CONSTITUTION:A binary signal is generated by an HDLC transmission control means 1 and is outputted from an HDLC signal transmitter 2 to a communication line and also it is held at a transmission signal storage apparatus 3. After sending the signal, the binary signal at an HDLC signal receiver 4 and the binary signal held at the storage apparatus 3 are compared at a signal comparator 5 when receiving an opposite response signal. And when those signals are coincided as the result of a comparison, the received binary signal is neglected at the means 1 and the reception of the opposite response signal is continued. Thus, by neglecting the coincidence of the transmission signal with the reception signal and by continuing the reception of the opposite response signal, it is possible to prevent the interruption of the facsimile transmission control procedure due to the echo and to improve a service for users continuing the communication.
