PURPOSE:To enable a person to conveniently use an electric fan, by providing an oblique indication on the top of the cover of the base of the fan, and obliquely placing a holder on the bottom of the cover. CONSTITUTION:Operating conditions are indicated along a straight line extending between the front 61 of the cover 6 of an electric fan and one side of the cover. An indication window 7, through which the light of an indicating lamp is transmitted, is provided on the straight line. The indication window 7 is made of colored translucent glass or plastic. The intensity of wind and the time of blowing, which are indicated as the operating conditions, increase rearwards as to the indicated positions of the operating conditions. Since the user of the fan feels that the posterior indicated positions correspond to upper positions for more intensity or length, the indication exactly fits to the feeling of the user. The user is thus enabled to conveniently use the electric fan.
