摘要 PURPOSE:To simplify constitution and reduce a cost, by a method wherein a normally-opened electromagnetic valve is located in an auxiliary coolant passage through which a reservoir tank and a lower tank are interconnected. CONSTITUTION:A normally-opened type electromagnetic valve 24 is located in an auxiliary coolant passage 23 running between a reservoir tank 21 and a lower tank 13, a coolant circulating system is kept in an enclosed state with the electromagnetic valve closed during normal operation, boiling evaporization is effected by a water jacket 2, and condensation is executed by a condenser 3. When a temperature in a system is decreased to bring the system into a pressure reducing boiling state, the electromagnetic valve 24 is opened to restore a pressure in a system, and a liquid phase coolant is introduced to the condenser 3 from a tank 21 to control radiation performance. Meanwhile, after the stop of an engine, the electromagnetic valve 24 is opened, and thereby the interior of a system is full of the liquid phase coolant to prevent entrance of air. Since, after the starting, boiling is started within a jacket 2, a surplus coolant to the reservoir tank 21 is discharged through the electromagnetic valve 24, and when a liquid level in the condenser 3 is lowered to lower than the level of a sensor 34, the electromagnetic valve 24, and when a liquid level in the condenser 3 is lowered to lower than the level of a sensor 34, the electromagnetic valve 24 is closed. This enables simplification of constitution.
