PURPOSE:To shorten the starting time of a motor by switching the drive current of the motor to a control loop and the prescribed rive current by the period of the output signal of a frequency generator. CONSTITUTION:A torque converter 17 disconnects a speed controller 12 when the period of the output signal of a frequency generator 14 is at the set value or higher. Thus, a drive circuit 11 flows a sufficiently large current. When the period of the output signal of the generator 14 comes to the set value or lower, the controller 12 operates. Thus, the drive circuit 11 flows a current in response to a deviation between the output signal of the generator 14 and the set speed signal. Thus, the starting time can be shortened.
