PURPOSE:To facilitate handling in the sorting and preserving of results of recording, by providing an arithmetic means for controlling a recording means to hold the recording part of data within a prescribed size. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of input signals e1-eN are converted into digital signals with an input switch 1, an amplifier 2 and an A/D converter 3 to be inputted into an arithmetic means 4. The measurement data thereof are outputted to a display means 7 and a recording means 8 with a setting means 5 and according to the contents of a memory 6. Here, the recording means 8 is controlled by the arithmetic means 4 so that the recording part of data by the recording means 8 will be held within a prescribed size. Here, the recording paper can be provided with a margin or include a scale mark, a center mark and the like. This prevents such a problem as making data at the end of a recording paper hard to vie in the storage thereof or others.
