PURPOSE:To eliminate a twist and to make a moving scan by providing wire fixing ends to a moving optical system and driving it through two wires in a copying machine which moves the moving optical system to expose an original and photodetects an image by a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The wire fixing ends 11a and 11b are provided to both ends of the moving optical system 10 composed of a lamp and a light converging member. Further, two fixed pulleys 12a and 12b are provided to both ends of a scanning path at one side of the moving optical system 10. Further, a driving pulley 13 for motor driving is provided and the 1st wire 14 is extended among the fixing end 11a and pulleys 12a, 13, and 12b. Further, pulleys 15a-15f are provided both ends of both sides of the scanning path and the 2nd wire 16 is extended in a U-shape among the fixing ends 11a and 11b and pulleys 15a-15f. The driving pulley 13 is driven to take up the 1st wire 14 and the 2nd wire 16, thereby moving the moving optical system 10 on the scanning path. Therefore, the 2nd wire 16 is driven to both sides while the 1st wire 14 is driven, so the twist and inclination of the moving optical system 10 are eliminated to perform scanning movement stably.
