PURPOSE:To drive an objective lens with high performance by balancing the objective lens which is held at an eccentric position against an axial core of a bearing part of a movable member by means of a tracking coil, and driving it in two roughly orthogonal directions by an electromagnetism generated by the coil and a magnet. CONSTITUTION:A projecting piece part 20d is provided on one end of a movable member 20 and a tracking coil 24 is stuck and fixed thereto, by which the coil 24 can be made small in size and light in weight as a counter-weight of an objective lens 22. Also, as for the coil 24, a side (a) of the coil 24, and a side (b) of the coil 24 are provided on a position opposed to a magnet 28 for generating a magnetic field of one direction in the diameter direction, and on a position opposed to a magnet 29 for generating a magnetic field of the other direction in the diameter direction, respectively, so that both of each side (a), (b) of the vertical direction can be utilized for the tracking driving. By an electromagnetism generated by these coils and magnets, the lens 22 is driven in two roughly orthogonal directions.
