PURPOSE:To prevent effectively adverse influence such as the long-time acquisition of a circuit due to the malfunction of an automatic dialing device by monitoring a selection signal sent out of the automatic dialing device and checking its normalcy. CONSTITUTION:A changeover switch 22 which has selective connection positions A and B, and C reacts to a main control part 26 as shown by a control line 24 to change in its connection state. A dial signal generation part 30 is connected to the connection position A through a connection line 28 and the main control part 26 generates the selection number (code) of a called subscriber at an output on the basis of the indication of a request to connect through a control line 32. The connection position B is for freeing the circuit 10 by releasing the main device 20 from the circuit 10. The output 42 of a data transmission/reception part 40 is connected to the connection position C. The data transmission/reception part 40 transits data received from a host device to the circuit 10 and also receives and transfers data from its to the host device. The main control part 26 controls the device 20 according to indications from the host device.
