PURPOSE:To obtain a good form of winding having a uniform surface hardness without ruggedness on the surface of yarn by continuously varying an angle between an entering passage of yarn to a winding bobbin in a position released from a traverse guide means, and the axis of said bobbin, during winding. CONSTITUTION:During the operation of a cylinder 13, i.e., while yarn removing guides 16a, 16b are placed in the position of 16', when a traverse width restricting guide 3 is in the position of 3a, the traverse width restricting guide 3a does not interfere with a yarn Y, which is wound at a normal swinging width. When the guide 3a comes to the position of 3b by means of a driving motor, however, the guide 3 interferes with the yarn Y being traversed. Thereby, when the guide 3 is headed for the winding center, the angle theta between the line of the yarn Y connecting the swinging width restricting point X to the winding pint Z and the winding bobbin, varies to be smaller, while it varies to be larger when the guide 3 is headed for both ends. Accordingly, by utilizing variation in the speed of the yarn Y due to the size of the angle theta, the position of yarn pool can be controlled without centralizing it, to make the surface hardness of a package uniform and improve the form of winding. |
