PURPOSE:To obtain a sealing material capable of effective waterstop of gap between communication cable and pipe with leaked water present at its port, by impregnating wooly fibrous material inert to isocyanate group with specific terminal isocyanate group-contg. urethane prepolymer. CONSTITUTION:The objective sealing material can be obtained by impregnating isocyanate group-inert wooly fibrous material (e.g. of polypropylene) with a terminal isocyanate group-contg. urethane polymer prepared by reaction between (A) a polyalkylene oxide from copolymerization between (i) primary alkylene oxide and (ii) secondary alkylene oxide so as to contain, in the molecule, 20-60wt% of the component (i) and (B) an organic polyisocyanate (e.g., tolylene diisocyanate).
