PURPOSE:To easily make water contg. odor and a chemical material potable by preparing a water purifying agent with aluminosilicate adsorbed with CO2 or both aluminosilicate adsorbed with CO2 and an adsorbent. CONSTITUTION:Aluminosilicate which is heat-treated, dehydrated and is practically free from the water content is brought into contact with CO2 preferably in the anhydrous conditions at >=0.1kg/cm<2> CO2 pressure preferably 1-10kg/cm<2> to adsorb CO2. As an embodiment of aluminosilicate, natural aluminosilicate such as analcite and rhombic analcite and synthesized zeolite such as zeolite A, X, Y are shown. The amount of CO2 to be adsorbed and incorporated in aluminosilicate is preferably 1-39.3g per 100g aluminosilicate. Aluminosilicate adsorbed and incorporated with CO2 can be made to a water purifying agent having the higher effect when it is mixed with an adsorbent such as activated carbon.
