PURPOSE:To obtain the titled polymer having improved filterability of the formed solid with excellent operability without any consolidation of solid particles, by polymerizing triethylenediamine in the presence of an acid catalyst using an aromatic hydrocarbon as a solvent. CONSTITUTION:Triethylenediamine is polymerized in the presence of an acid catalyst. In the process, an aromatic hydrocarbon is used as a solvent to carry out the polymerization reaction. Benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene or cumene, etc., is used as the aromatic hydrocarbon and added in an amount of 0.5-10 times based on the triethylenediamine.
