PURPOSE:To enable an exact fuel injection at a prescribed timing by shutting off the flow passage of a fuel circulating circuit by a cam-operated shut-off valve, and opening an injection valve by a secondary high-pressure generated at the time so as to allow the injection of fuel. CONSTITUTION:A fuel circulating circuit from a fuel tank to a fuel pump 6, from the fuel pump 6 to a fuel injection device 1, and from the injection device 1 to the fuel tank is made. An injection control valve 4 and a circulating passage shut-off valve 3 are provided in the circulating circuit. A clearance is provided between the body of the injection device 1 and the lower part of a spindle 2, and the adjustment of the clearance is carried out by means of a worm gear 5 so as to control fuel. A planetary gear 9 is fitted on a cam shaft, and the cam is fitted to the gear 8 which is turned by the planetary gear 9. The adjustment of injection timing is carried out by moving a planetary gear supporting frame 10 in the right and left direction. Accordingly, the worm gear 5 is operated by an operating lever and the like, and the supporting frame 10 of the planetary gear 9 is operated manually or automatically. Thus, if the shut-off valve 3 is operated so that the rotation of the cam 7 is linked with the motion of a cylinder, the injection valve 4 is opened, enabling an exact injection at a prescribed timing.
