PURPOSE:To obtain a radically curable resin finding wide applications, by reaction between vinyl monomer and specific unsaturated epoxy resin having both (meth)acryloyl and epoxy groups followed by reaction of the COOH group of acrylic acid with the residual epoxy group. CONSTITUTION:A copolymerization is carried out, using a radical polymerization catalyst, between (A) a component comprising an unsaturated epoxy resin having both (meth)acryloyl and epoxy groups prepared by reaction between (i) 1mol of (meth)acrylic acid and (ii) >=1mol of bisphenol type diglycidyl ether type epoxy resin synthesized from bisphenol and epichlorohydrin and (B) a vinyl monomer to produce a reaction mixture containing a polymer having at its side chain bisphenol type diglycidyl ether type epoxy group. Subsequently, such an amount of the component (i) as to be the same moles as that of the residual epoxy group in incorporated in said mixture to perform reaction between the epoxy group and COOH, thus obtaining the objective resin of formula [A is main chain consisting of copolymer resin from (meth)acryloyl group and the component (B), R1-R3 are each H or methyl; n is 0-5].
