发明名称 DISCHARGE TUBE FOR PROJECTION
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain extremely high intensity images, by using a high convergence lens for the front glass of a discharge tube and optical fibers piled on the inner face of the lens. CONSTITUTION:The front glass of a discharge tube is composed of a convex lens L7 with high convergence. A 4mm-thick optical fiber OF having the same diameter with the lens together with 0.3numerical aperture and being composed of randomly arranged cores having different diameters is piled on the inner face of the lens L7. A discharge tube B to which a phosphor coat K is applied is formed on the cathode side of the optical fiber. Since the optical fiber OF is composed of randomly arranged cores having different diameters, that is, the neighboring cores have different diameters, an image can be electrically transmittted but phases thereof can not coincide with each other. This result in less leakage of light among neighboring picture elements and fine images with less blotted image.
