PURPOSE:To prevent the leakage of the fine particles of an alkaline activated carbon bed neutralizing oxidized oil, by forming an upper bed from an alkaline activated carbon bed and a lower bed from an almost neutral activated carbon layer. CONSTITUTION:Activated carbon beds 35, 36 are received in an oil purifying case 30 having a bottomed cylindrical shape made of a metal such as aluminum and a bottom surface provided with a large number of apertures in such a state that the activated carbon beds are held between nonwoven fabric filters 31, 32 made of polyester from above and below and a nonwoven fabric filter 33 is held between both beds. A perforated upper plate 34 such as a punching metal is further fixed to the upper surface opening of the oil-purifying case 30 in a caulking state. As the activated carbon 35 arranged to the upper bed, one showing alkalinity of pH 8 or more is used and, as the activated carbon 36 arranged to the lower bed, one showing almost neutrality of about pH 6-7 is used.
