PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin in which graft rubber particles are uniformly dispersed, by mixing a thermoplastic resin with an organic phase obtained by removing a water phase from a mixture of a graft rubber polymer latex with a specified organic chemical and separating the organic solvent. CONSTITUTION:The water phase is separated from a two-phase mixture obtained by mixing a graft rubber polymer latex (A) obtained by graft-polymerizing a vinyl monomer with a rubber latex with 0.2-6pts.wt., per pt.wt. rubber polymer, organic chemical (e.g., methyl ethyl ketone) which can dissolve the thermoplastic resin which is used in the subsequent step and has a solubility in water at 25 deg.C of 5-50wt%. A rice cake-like mixture obtained by mixing the remaining organic phase with a thermoplastic resin (e.g., PE) is heated to separate it into the organic chemical and the remaining water. EFFECT:A rubber-modified resin excellent in whiteness or transparency and excellent in surface appearance and various other properties can be produced.
